About Us
Steiling Architecture is an architectural design, planning, and construction administration firm founded originally as The Cahoon Firm in 1989 and based in Jonesboro, Arkansas. In 2006, the name was changed to CahoonSteiling Architecture when Jeff Steiling was added as a partner. The name changed again in 2021 with the retirement and request of the founding partner Mark Cahoon.
We serve clients throughout Northeast Arkansas, generally within a one hundred mile radius of the Jonesboro area. For more than 30 years, our firm has designed successful new and renovated designs, including commercial, corporate, churches, higher education, and K-12 projects. We are proud to provide excellent architectural service and maintain ongoing relationships with our many repeat clients.
Philosophy
Steiling Architecture believes you really can achieve excellent, innovative, efficient design and be responsive to budget constraints. As an owner, you do not have to choose one or the other.
We take our responsibility as professional designers very seriously and know the process of designing a new or renovated facility presents exciting challenges. Planning for the diverse array of program requirements within any project seeks a balance between staff needs, productivity guidelines, shared spaces, environmental concerns, technology, security, and accessibility issues. Each of these concerns is a vital component that we study and incorporate into the design process. Our goal is to successfully address these concerns with a solution that weaves these elements into a cohesive design, establishing functionality, low maintenance, energy efficiency into an aesthetically pleasing facility.
